ClinConnect Summary

The "Teen Health Choices & Wellness" study is looking to understand how teenagers' health and wellness behaviors change as they grow older. This research is focused on teens aged 13 to 16, and it will involve using a smartphone app designed for the study. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet in person at Brown University or through video calls, where they will answer questions about their choices, feelings, and behaviors related to health and substance use.

To participate, teens need to be between 13 and 16 years old, have recently engaged in a health behavior (like exercise or healthy eating), and be able to speak and understand English or Spanish. They should also live in or near Rhode Island. However, those with a history of serious substance use issues or current mental health challenges, such as severe thoughts of self-harm, will not be eligible. This study aims to gather valuable insights that can help improve the health and well-being of teens as they navigate these important years.
