ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well different medications work for pain relief during normal labor. Specifically, it is comparing two medications—fentanyl and dexmedetomidine—when they are added to a common pain relief drug called bupivacaine. The aim is to see which combination provides better pain relief and how long that relief lasts, making the experience of labor more comfortable for mothers.
To participate in this study, women must meet certain criteria. They should be healthy with an uncomplicated pregnancy, be at term with a single baby, and have a cervical dilation of more than 5 centimeters. However, women with certain conditions, like bleeding disorders or allergies to the medications used in the trial, cannot participate. If you decide to join the trial, you will receive one of the medication combinations to help manage pain during labor, and your experience will be monitored to assess how effective the treatment is.
