ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may affect pain perception in children and teenagers. The researchers want to understand if the way a child's ADHD is expressed can change how they experience chronic pain and their overall ability to tolerate pain. By studying this, they hope to discover important information that could help in treating pain in kids with ADHD.
To participate in this study, children aged 6 to 17 who are diagnosed with ADHD according to specific guidelines are eligible. However, those who have trouble communicating, have experienced severe head injuries, or have other serious health conditions won't be included. Participants will be monitored and evaluated for their pain perception, which may help doctors understand the connection between ADHD and pain better. This study is currently recruiting participants, so there is an opportunity for eligible families to get involved and contribute to this important research.
