ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Be Yourself" is designed to help prevent teenage pregnancy by encouraging young people to make informed choices about their sexual health. Each year, millions of teenagers around the world become parents, which can lead to various challenges for both them and their children. This trial aims to test a new educational program that uses a website and an AI chatbot to motivate adolescents aged 11 to 15 years, who are enrolled in public high schools in Monterrey, Mexico, to take charge of their own decisions regarding pregnancy prevention.
To participate in this trial, teens must be between 11 and 15 years old, attend a public high school in the area, and have access to a computer with internet. They can be either boys or girls, and it doesn't matter if they have already started being sexually active. However, those who have taken part in similar programs before or have certain cognitive challenges that might make it hard for them to understand the material won’t be eligible. By joining this program, participants will engage in sessions that provide important information and resources, helping them feel empowered to make safe choices about their futures.
