ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how understanding scientific information about psychological therapy can influence beliefs about treatment in adults with anxiety. Researchers want to see if showing participants educational videos about coping with distress affects their confidence in therapy and their belief in its effectiveness. During the one-hour study, participants will watch videos for about 30 minutes and then answer some quiz questions and surveys related to what they learned and their views on therapy.
To participate, you should be between 18 and 80 years old, speak fluent English, and likely have an anxiety disorder based on a specific scoring system. You need to be willing to follow the study guidelines and enroll through a website called Prolific.com. However, if you've already seen the videos being used in this study, you won't be able to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help understand how knowledge can shape beliefs about mental health treatments, which could ultimately improve therapy outcomes for many individuals.
