ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether listening to music can help reduce anxiety, pain, and improve feelings of safety for patients undergoing a procedure called wound debridement. In the trial, there will be two groups of 100 participants each. One group will receive standard care, while the other group will listen to Sufi music before their procedure, in addition to the usual care they receive.
To join the study, participants need to be 18 years or older and visiting the hospital for diabetic foot issues that require wound debridement. They should have had this procedure done at least once before, and they must not have any hearing or speech impairments, psychiatric disorders, or professional music training. Participants can expect to be treated with care and respect throughout the study, and their experiences will help researchers understand how music might positively impact patients during this procedure. The trial is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information that could improve patient care in the future.
