ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two types of devices called supraglottic airway devices, known as the i-gel and the Protector. These devices are used to help keep the airway open during minor urological surgeries performed under general anesthesia. The goal is to see which device works better for patients during these procedures.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult over 18 years old and have a certain level of health (categorized as ASA I-II, which means you are generally healthy or have mild health issues). You should also be scheduled for a surgery where you will be lying on your back or in a specific position called lithotomy. However, if you have certain problems like tumors in your airway, a history of difficult intubation, or need help breathing after surgery, you won't be eligible to join. If you take part in the trial, you'll be monitored closely during your procedure, and your experience with either the i-gel or the Protector will be compared. This could help improve airway management for future patients.
