ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating a treatment called Remote Ischemic Conditioning (RIC) to see if it can help reduce small brain injuries that sometimes happen during a procedure called stent-assisted coiling for unruptured brain aneurysms. These small injuries, known as microembolic infarctions, can occur during the procedure and may lead to tissue damage, even if patients don't notice any symptoms. The trial aims to find out if performing RIC before and after the procedure can lower the chances of these injuries happening and improve patient outcomes.

To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and have an unruptured brain aneurysm that requires treatment. They should be willing to receive the RIC therapy. However, certain conditions, such as severe heart issues or other specific health concerns, would exclude a person from joining the trial. Participants can expect to undergo the standard procedure while also receiving the RIC treatment, and the study will monitor them for any microembolic infarctions in the days and weeks following the procedure. This research is important as it could lead to improved safety and effectiveness in treating aneurysms.
