ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different ways to manage pain during hand surgeries by comparing various combinations of medications. Specifically, it will test the effectiveness of a common pain relief medication called bupivacaine on its own, as well as when it's combined with two other medications: dexamethasone and dexamethasone with dexametomidine. The goal is to find out which combination works best for reducing pain and improving recovery for patients undergoing these types of surgeries.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and generally healthy (ASA 1-3, which means you have a low to moderate risk of complications). However, if you have allergies to the medications being tested, existing nerve conditions, blood clotting issues, cognitive impairments, or if you choose not to take part, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you’ll receive one of the treatments before your surgery, and the research team will monitor your pain levels and recovery to see how well each treatment works. This study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply!
