ClinConnect Summary

The Triple-A Barcelona Study is a clinical trial focused on understanding Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA), which occur when a part of the aorta—the main blood vessel supplying blood to the body—becomes enlarged. This study is recruiting individuals in Barcelona who have been diagnosed with AAA and have a specific measurement of the aorta's size. To qualify for the study, participants need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and must have an aortic diameter larger than 30 mm, which is considered a significant size for monitoring AAA.

Participants can expect to provide information about their health, undergo imaging tests like CT scans or ultrasounds, and give blood samples during follow-up visits. The study aims to gather important data that may help improve the understanding and treatment of AAA in the future. It's important to note that certain conditions, such as specific types of aneurysms and dissections, may exclude individuals from participating in the study.
