ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of foot reflexology on people who have chronic low back pain. Chronic low back pain means you have been experiencing pain in your lower back for more than 12 weeks. The trial will look at how 6 or 12 sessions of foot reflexology, which involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, can improve physical function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. Researchers hope to gather evidence on whether this type of therapy can benefit patients with this common condition.
To be eligible for the study, participants should be between 65 and 85 years old and have had chronic low back pain for at least 12 weeks. However, certain individuals won't be able to participate, such as those who are pregnant, have serious health issues, or have had bad reactions to foot reflexology in the past. If you join the study, you can expect to receive either foot reflexology treatment or a placebo (a treatment that does not have any effect) over a series of weeks, and you will be monitored for improvements in your symptoms and overall health. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and the findings could provide useful information on how foot reflexology may help manage chronic low back pain.
