ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help patients with a heart condition called Ischemia, who do not have blocked arteries. The program, called mobile health cardiac rehabilitation (mHealth-CR), uses a smartphone app to track activity, provide weekly counseling, and document exercise. The goal is to see if this program can improve health, symptoms, and quality of life over three months, compared to usual care. The trial will involve 250 participants from NYU Langone Health and Emory University Medical Center.
If you are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with Ischemia but do not have blocked coronary arteries, you might be eligible to participate. Unfortunately, if you have severe cognitive impairment, are currently pregnant, or have certain movement disorders, you may not qualify. Participants can expect to engage with the app and receive support to help manage their condition during the study. This trial also aims to understand how different factors, such as gender and social support, affect participation and health outcomes. If you’re interested in this innovative approach to heart health, this could be an opportunity to get involved!
