ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to help young adults with autism and intellectual disabilities find and keep jobs. The study will test a specific support program called Individual Placement and Support for Autism (IPS-AUT), which is designed to assist these individuals in getting competitive jobs in the community. Researchers will work with employment agencies and training providers to see how well this program works and how it can be improved.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be between 21 and 40 years old, diagnosed with autism by a qualified professional, and currently looking for work. They should also have at least a 4th-grade reading level. Participants will receive support and training through this program to help them succeed in their job search. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to create a helpful model that can be used widely in the future to support young adults with autism in finding meaningful employment.
