ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) improve their social skills, reduce anxiety, and enhance their ability to recognize and learn from mistakes. Researchers will use a special device that measures brain activity while participants engage in a game that shows different facial expressions. The game will provide real-time feedback, allowing participants to learn as they play and interact with a virtual helper. The goal is to see if this type of training can help individuals with ASD better understand social cues and improve their motivation.
To participate, individuals must be between 16 and 55 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of ASD. They should also be willing to give consent and have normal or corrected-to-normal vision. However, those with certain conditions, such as a low IQ, skin diseases on the scalp, or who are currently on unstable medication or neurofeedback therapy, will not be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to offer a new way to support social and emotional skills in people with ASD.
