ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new tool called the SHD-LESS scale, which helps assess how well patients land after surgery to reconstruct their anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). After ACL surgery, it's important to ensure that patients can return to sports safely, but sometimes they may land differently on their injured leg compared to the uninjured one, which can increase the risk of getting hurt again. This study aims to see if the SHD-LESS scale can accurately identify these differences in landing and how it relates to the strength of the knee muscles, overall physical condition, and mental readiness to return to sports.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 40 years old and have had your first ACL reconstruction surgery more than six months ago. You should also be following up with a sports medicine care team. However, if you have had previous knee surgeries, certain complex injuries, or other specific health issues, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you'll be assessed on your landing performance, muscle strength, and overall readiness to return to sports, which could help improve recovery strategies for future patients.
