ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how waiting times for musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatient therapy services affect patients in Wales. The goal is to understand if the current target of receiving care within 14 weeks is suitable for everyone, as some people may experience more negative effects from waiting, depending on their age and mental health. By asking patients to fill out surveys at the beginning and end of their wait, the researchers hope to see how their condition changes over time and gather personal stories about their experiences while waiting for treatment.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, currently on a waiting list for outpatient therapy (like physiotherapy or occupational therapy) for a musculoskeletal issue, and able to read and write in English. Participants will be able to complete the surveys from home, providing valuable information that could help improve how quickly patients can access these important services in the future.
