ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for people with laryngeal dystonia, a condition that affects the voice and causes involuntary spasms in the vocal cords. The researchers want to see if applying this gentle electrical stimulation to different parts of the brain can help improve symptoms for those diagnosed with this condition.

To participate, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old or 23 and 40 years old, and you must have a confirmed diagnosis of laryngeal dystonia with no other speech or voice disorders. If you decide to join, you'll need to sign a consent form and agree to follow the study's procedures. Please note that if you have a history of epilepsy, depression, or feel uncomfortable in tight spaces, you won't be able to participate. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested in being involved.
