ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of eye drops made from cord blood serum on patients who have severe dry eye caused by a specific type of cancer treatment. The main goal is to see if these eye drops can help heal the surface of the eye, known as the corneal epithelium, which can become damaged due to medication used for treating certain cancers.

To join this study, participants need to be adults over 18 years old who have advanced cancer and a specific genetic mutation (EGFr mutation) that requires treatment with anti-EGFr drugs. Participants will need to be able to store and use the eye drops on their own or with help from a caregiver. Those who qualify will be part of a trial that is currently recruiting, and they can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve eye health for others facing similar issues in the future.
