ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether a medication called aminophylline can help doctors place a special tube, known as a ureteric access sheath, more easily during a procedure called flexible ureteroscopy. This procedure is often used to treat kidney or ureter stones. The goal is to see if using aminophylline can reduce the risk of injury to the ureter, which is the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74, and have kidney stones that are less than 2 cm in size. However, certain conditions would exclude someone from participating, such as having a urinary tract infection, previous surgery on the ureter, or certain medical issues that could make using aminophylline unsafe. If you join this trial, you will be monitored closely to see how well the medicine works and to ensure your safety during the procedure. This study is not yet recruiting participants, so it may take some time before it begins.
