ClinConnect Summary

The Pathways 2 Success clinical trial is studying ways to help high school students who may be at risk for problems related to conduct disorder and oppositional defiant disorder. This trial will test three different programs to see which ones can best support these students in managing their behavior. The programs include a mindfulness-based approach, a mindfulness program paired with a mobile app, and a life skills program. Participants will be high school students in the 9th or 10th grade who have been referred for support due to concerning behavior.

To be eligible, students must be fluent in English and come from partner schools where their behavior has raised some concerns. However, students who are currently receiving special education services for serious emotional or behavioral issues, or who have certain mental health diagnoses, cannot participate. Those who join the study will take part in assessments before the program starts, two weeks after the intervention, and again three months later to see how well the programs worked. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to find effective ways to support adolescents in managing their conduct issues positively.
