ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well different types of collagen membranes help in gaining bone in the upper jaw (maxilla) after a procedure to treat bone loss. Researchers want to compare two methods: using a special membrane made from pericardial tissue versus a membrane taken from another part of the body called the iliac crest. The goal is to see which method leads to more bone growth over a period of six months.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 18 and 60 years old and have some level of bone loss in one or both sides of their upper jaw. They should not have had any previous treatments on the areas being studied, and they cannot have certain medical conditions that affect bone health. If you join this study, you can expect to receive treatment for your bone loss and contribute to important research that may improve care for future patients with similar conditions.
