ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of two different anesthesia methods for young children undergoing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at Kocaeli City Hospital. The trial compares the use of a combination of propofol and ketamine, which are given through an IV, against sevoflurane, which is inhaled through a face mask. The goal is to find out which method allows children to stay still during the MRI while also ensuring a safe and quick recovery afterward.

To be eligible for this study, children aged between 3 months and 10 years who are scheduled for an MRI may participate, as long as they are generally healthy and classified as ASA I-II (which means they are not facing serious health issues). However, children with specific health conditions, allergies to the study medications, or behavioral problems that could affect the procedure cannot take part. If your child is eligible and chooses to participate, they will receive one of the two anesthesia methods during their MRI, and the researchers will monitor their safety and recovery closely. This trial aims to ensure that children can undergo necessary imaging safely and comfortably.
