ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new support program designed to help Black women who have survived breast cancer transition back to everyday life after treatment. The program is focused on Black women in Western New York, an area where many face challenges related to both cancer and poverty. It includes group support sessions where participants can connect with others, learn about health and wellness, and take part in activities like cooking lessons and guest talks. Additionally, each participant will have a one-on-one mentoring session with a long-term breast cancer survivor who will guide them in self-assessments and help them make plans to improve their health.

To be eligible for this program, participants should be at least 18 years old, identify as Black or African American, live in Western New York, and have completed their primary breast cancer treatment (like chemotherapy or surgery, but not including breast reconstruction). The program aims to provide valuable resources and support to help these women navigate their new lives after treatment, so they feel empowered and connected to their community. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, this trial could be a wonderful opportunity for support and growth.
