ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is designed to compare two different surgical techniques for treating problems with the biceps tendon in the shoulder. The two methods being studied are called simple biceps tenotomy and anchor tenotomy. The goal is to find out which technique leads to better outcomes for patients, based on both clinical evaluations and ultrasound assessments.

To participate in this trial, patients need to have specific shoulder issues, such as biceps tendinitis, rotator cuff tears, or other related problems. Unfortunately, individuals with certain conditions, like neuromuscular diseases or those who have had a specific biceps surgery called tenodesis, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo a surgical procedure, followed by assessments to see how well they recover and how effective each technique is. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information to help improve treatment options for shoulder problems in the future.
