ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a mixture of two fluids, Dextran 40 and Ringer's lactate, can help patients with mild to moderate acute pancreatitis recover better than just using Ringer's lactate alone. The researchers want to find out if this combination can improve patient outcomes by reducing inflammation, the risk of organ failure, and the need for intensive care. Participants in the trial will either receive the combination of Dextran 40 and Ringer's lactate or Ringer's lactate by itself. They will have blood tests every day to monitor their inflammation levels and how their organs are functioning, as well as track any changes in their condition.
To take part in this study, you must be an adult (18 years or older) diagnosed with mild or moderate acute pancreatitis and willing to give your consent. However, pregnant individuals and those with certain health issues that could complicate the treatment will not be eligible. This trial is currently recruiting participants and aims to find the best way to help people with this condition recover faster and avoid serious complications.
