ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a specific exercise program called the Schroth-based three-dimensional exercise can help people with a condition known as hyperkyphosis, which is an abnormal rounding of the upper back, along with chronic neck pain. The study aims to see if these exercises can improve the curvature of the spine, strengthen trunk muscles, enhance balance, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. To participate, individuals need to be between 20 and 50 years old, have a significant curvature of the spine (more than 40 degrees), and have experienced neck pain for over three months.
Participants will be randomly placed into two groups for eight weeks. One group will do the Schroth exercises along with receiving electrotherapy, while the other group will receive similar electrotherapy but will focus on general posture correction exercises. Both groups will attend a total of 20 sessions. Throughout the study, participants will be assessed by a physiotherapist to track their progress. This trial is currently active but not recruiting new participants. It's important to note that people with certain medical conditions, spinal surgeries, or specific spinal deformities cannot join the study.
