ClinConnect Summary
The Collaborative Multi-level Obesity Intervention Engaging Underserved Communities Trial is studying a new approach to help people living with obesity in low-income areas of Louisiana lose weight and improve their overall health. This trial will compare a program called LA-CEAL CONNECT, which includes health coaching and support, to standard care to see which one helps participants achieve better weight loss and health improvements after 6 and 12 months. The researchers want to know if this program can help participants eat healthier, be more active, and feel better overall.
To take part in this trial, you should be between 18 and 75 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) that indicates obesity, and weigh less than 400 pounds. You also need to be able to speak and understand English and be willing to visit a clinic for check-ins over the next year. Participants will receive educational materials about weight loss and have the opportunity to track their progress using digital tools. If you’re interested in improving your health and helping researchers learn how to better support underserved communities, this trial may be a good fit for you!
