ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special program called NOVELA, which uses engaging telenovela videos to help family caregivers of hospice patients. The goal is to see if this program can reduce anxiety and improve caregivers' confidence in using hospice support services compared to regular hospice care. Participants will take part in telehealth visits twice a week, where they will watch these videos and receive education tailored to their needs.
To be eligible for this study, caregivers must be over 18 years old, have a family member who is enrolled in hospice care, and have access to a device with internet. Caregivers who are cognitively impaired or those assisting patients who are actively dying cannot participate. If you join, you can expect to learn valuable information that can help you feel more prepared and supported in your caregiving role. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to make a meaningful difference for caregivers in African-American and Hispanic communities.
