Interactive Oral Health Educational Program

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying an interactive program designed to teach children with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers about oral health. The goal is to understand how much caregivers know about dental care for these children and to identify any gaps in knowledge or challenges they face. By using a questionnaire, researchers will gather information to improve educational resources and support for families in Egypt.

To participate in this study, children must have an intellectual disability, with mild to moderate levels of cognitive ability, and must be between the ages of 7 months and 1 year. Caregivers of these children are also invited to join. Participants can expect to engage in educational activities that will help them learn about proper oral health practices. It’s important to note that children with more severe intellectual disabilities, as well as those who choose not to participate, will not be included in this study.
