ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how effective virtual reality (VR) is for teaching nursing students important skills, like basic life support and patient examinations. The trial will compare two teaching methods: one group of students will learn using traditional classroom methods, while the other group will use a combination of classroom learning and VR technology. The researchers want to find out if using VR makes a difference in how well students learn these skills, but they already expect that both groups will learn equally well. However, they believe that students who use VR might feel more satisfied and confident in their abilities.
To participate, students need to be in their fourth year of a nursing program and have already completed certain in-person training in previous years. They also need to give their permission to join the study. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, students will be randomly assigned to one of the two teaching methods. This means that some students will learn with VR and some will stick with traditional methods, allowing the researchers to compare the two experiences. Overall, this study aims to see if new teaching tools like VR can enhance student learning and confidence in nursing skills.
