ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how a technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can help patients who are preparing for heart surgery, specifically coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. The study aims to see if EFT can reduce pain, change beliefs about pain, and lower anxiety levels in these patients. Previous research has shown that EFT can be beneficial for reducing anxiety and improving well-being in other surgical settings, and this trial seeks to extend those findings to patients undergoing heart surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and in stable health, meaning you should not have any infections or mental health issues that require medication, and you should have normal hearing and vision. If you join the trial, you will receive EFT sessions to help manage your anxiety and pain before your surgery. The goal is to improve your overall experience and quality of life during this challenging time. If you're interested or think you might qualify, it's worth talking to your healthcare provider for more information.
