ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Survey of Different Modes of Weaning in Pediatric Population," is studying how babies transition from a milk-only diet to eating a variety of foods. Weaning is an important step in a child's development, and there are different ways to do it. Some parents follow a traditional method, where they give specific foods at set times, while others let their child choose what and how much to eat during family meals. The goal of this study is to understand how common these different weaning methods are and what parents and pediatricians think about their advantages and disadvantages. The researchers will also look into any potential risks, like feeding mistakes or choking hazards that might happen during this transition.
To participate in the study, parents must have children between 4 and 18 months old, be fluent in Italian, and have access to the internet to complete a questionnaire. Pediatricians who work in Italy can also participate. Parents of children with certain medical conditions, like chronic diseases or swallowing difficulties, are not eligible. Participants can expect to share their experiences and opinions about weaning, contributing to valuable research that may help other families in the future.
