ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two different activities can help improve the mental well-being of older adults aged 60 to 85 living in elderly centers. The researchers want to find out if participating in Chinese Art Activities alone, or combining those activities with group participation, can make people feel less lonely, happier, and more relaxed. They will compare three groups: one group will do the art activities, another group will do the art activities along with group discussions, and the third group will receive regular care without these activities.
To take part in the trial, participants must be 60-85 years old, have been living in the elderly center for less than a year, and be able to read and write. They should also have normal cognitive abilities, which means they can think clearly and understand information. During the trial, participants will take part in three art sessions over a week and complete surveys about their feelings before and after each session. There will also be a follow-up a week later to see if the benefits last. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve the quality of life for elderly individuals living in care centers.
