ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Prediction of Adhesion by Sliding Sign," is looking at a way to predict the presence of adhesions in the abdomen of women who have had multiple cesarean sections (C-sections). Adhesions are bands of scar tissue that can form after surgery and may cause complications. The study will use ultrasound imaging techniques, both through the abdomen and the vagina, to check for a specific sign (called the sliding sign) before the operation. During the C-section, doctors will evaluate and record any adhesions present, helping researchers understand how well the sliding sign can predict these adhesions.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be women who have had three or more C-sections. Unfortunately, women with certain types of placenta-related issues will not be able to participate. If you join this study, you can expect to undergo an ultrasound before your C-section, and the information gathered will contribute to better understanding and predicting adhesions in the future. This research could ultimately help improve care for women undergoing repeat C-sections.
