ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether short health education videos, similar to those found on social media, can help teenagers with chronic illnesses feel more prepared for their health care transitions. The researchers want to see if watching these videos can improve important areas like self-confidence in managing their health, emotional well-being, understanding health information, and keeping up with medical appointments, compared to information available on health websites.
To participate, young people aged 12 to 17 who are seeing specialists for their health issues and can access the internet in English or Spanish may be eligible. Participants will watch the videos for about 20 minutes and then fill out some surveys that may take 30 to 60 minutes. The goal is to see how these videos can make a positive difference right after watching and six months later. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve health care experiences for adolescents in the future.
