ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of gardening activities on the mental and physical health of elderly individuals living in nursing homes. Researchers want to see how gardening can help improve conditions such as anxiety, depression, and overall life satisfaction, while also looking at changes in certain biological markers that indicate brain health and stress levels. The activities will take place once a week for 60 minutes over four months, aiming to boost the well-being of participants through enjoyable and accessible physical activity.

To take part in this study, participants need to be elderly residents in a nursing home for at least six months and have a certain level of mental clarity, as determined by a simple mental test. They should also be able to see and hear well enough to engage in gardening and be willing to communicate and cooperate. However, individuals facing significant physical or mental health challenges that could interfere with gardening will not be included. This trial is designed to be a fun and beneficial way for elderly individuals to connect with nature and improve their health.
