ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a combination of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and resistance training (like lifting weights) can affect body composition, blood pressure, and overall fitness in obese men who have high blood pressure. The research aims to find out if this type of exercise can help improve these health issues, which are important for reducing the risk of heart disease.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be men aged 40 to 60 who are diagnosed with stage 1 or 2 hypertension and have a body mass index (BMI) over 30, meaning they are considered obese. They should also be physically inactive and not have any serious health problems that could prevent them from exercising. If they join, participants will be divided into three groups: one will do both HIIT and resistance training, another will do HIIT only, and the last group will not change their usual activities. The program lasts for 12 weeks, and there will be assessments at the beginning and end to track any changes in their health.
