Knee Injury Injury Prevention Training Football Coaches Players

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether a special program for coaches can help prevent serious knee injuries in amateur football players, both youth and seniors. The main question researchers want to answer is whether this coach-focused approach can reduce the number of sudden knee injuries during games and practices. Coaches will either receive weekly training and motivation on how to prevent injuries or continue with their regular football practice for 14 weeks. All participants, regardless of the group they are in, will receive weekly text messages to report any knee injuries that occur over 18 weeks.

To participate, you need to be a coach or manager of a Danish amateur football team, either for players under 14 years old or adult teams, and be at least 18 years old. You should also have access to a mobile phone and a computer. However, if you have limited Danish language skills, or if you’re affiliated with certain teams that require a licensed physical trainer, you may not be eligible. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help make football safer for everyone by focusing on injury prevention.
