ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of melatonin, a natural hormone, on patients who have cardiomyopathy, a condition that affects the heart muscle and can lead to heart problems. The goal is to see if melatonin can help protect the heart in these patients. The trial is currently recruiting participants aged 65 to 74 years, and both men and women can take part.

To be eligible for this study, you need to be an adult with a confirmed diagnosis of cardiomyopathy and be stable on standard heart medications, like ACE inhibitors or beta-blockers. It's important that you haven't been hospitalized for worsening heart issues recently or have serious kidney or liver problems. Participants will need to provide consent to join the study and may be asked to avoid other medications that could interfere with the results.
