ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the quality of care in emergency departments by examining how well decisions are made about whether to admit patients to the hospital. Researchers want to create and test a reliable method to determine if these admission decisions are appropriate, which means whether patients truly need to stay in the hospital or if they can be treated in another way.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and arrive at one of the participating emergency centers between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024. Unfortunately, if someone is under 18 or arrives outside of these dates, they won’t be eligible to join the trial. If you or a family member are eligible, participating means you might help improve how emergency care is delivered, but specific details on what to expect during the study will be shared with you if you choose to participate.
