ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well calcium supplements match the actual calcium intake from food in patients who have recently had a fracture due to weak bones (a condition known as osteoporosis). Many people with osteoporosis do not receive the treatments they need after a fracture, even though most are taking calcium and vitamin D supplements. The study aims to find out if patients are getting the right amount of calcium through their diet and supplements, which is important for their recovery and bone health.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have recently met with a rheumatologist (a doctor specializing in joint and bone issues) after a fracture suspected to be caused by weak bones. Participants will need to be connected to a social security system and be able to visit one of the study centers. Those who have already been treated by a rheumatologist or have conditions that might prevent them from participating will not be included. If you join the study, you can expect to share information about your diet and supplements to help researchers understand how to improve care for people with osteoporosis.
