ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the long-term effects of an online educational program called Therapeutic Neuroscience Education (TNE) for people with chronic low back pain. The goal is to help participants better understand their pain and improve their overall function through a combination of online sessions and traditional physiotherapy. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive both the online TNE and physiotherapy, while the other will receive only physiotherapy. The TNE sessions will cover topics about how pain works in the brain, ways to cope with pain, and strategies to reduce fear of movement.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 60 years old, literate, and have internet access. They should have been experiencing back pain for at least three months, with pain levels between 3 and 8 on a scale of 0 to 10. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, recent surgeries, or those taking pain medications may not qualify. Throughout the study, a researcher will assess participants' pain, disability, and satisfaction with treatment at different times, helping to determine the effectiveness of the online education in managing chronic low back pain.
