ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different surgical treatments for patients aged 60 and older who have a tear in three important shoulder tendons. The goal is to see how well patients do one year after surgery, whether they have a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (a type of shoulder replacement surgery) or a rotator cuff repair (surgery to fix the torn tendons).
To participate in this trial, you need to be 60 years old or older and have had one of these surgeries performed by Dr. Tyler Brolin or Dr. Thomas Throckmorton within the last year. Unfortunately, if you had your surgery done by a different surgeon, or if you're younger than 60 or had less than three tendons torn, you wouldn’t qualify for this study. If you join, you can expect regular follow-ups to assess your shoulder function and pain levels, helping researchers understand which treatment might work better for patients like you.
