ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how yoga compares to traditional physiotherapy for people with sarcoidosis, a condition that can affect many parts of the body, especially the lungs. Sarcoidosis often causes symptoms like trouble breathing and extreme tiredness, which can make daily activities difficult. The goal of this study is to see whether practicing yoga or undergoing standard physiotherapy can improve lung function, exercise ability, and overall quality of life for patients with this condition.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be diagnosed with sarcoidosis (specifically in stages II, III, or IV) and have lung involvement along with symptoms of fatigue. They should not be using certain medications like immunosuppressants or antidepressants for a specified time. Participants can expect to engage in either yoga or physiotherapy sessions, and their progress will be monitored through various tests to measure improvements in breathing, energy levels, and emotional well-being. This study is important because it aims to explore non-drug treatments for sarcoidosis, which are currently limited in research.
