ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the differences in tear quality between women who are experiencing menopause and those who are not, specifically focusing on a condition called dry eye syndrome. Dry eye syndrome can cause discomfort and vision problems, and researchers want to understand how menopause might affect tear production and quality.
To participate in this study, women aged 20 to 65 who do not have certain eye diseases (like cataracts or glaucoma) are eligible. Participants will undergo a simple test called the tear ferning test, which helps doctors diagnose dry eye by examining the patterns of dried tears. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and being part of it could help improve understanding and treatment of dry eye issues related to menopause.
