ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving mental health support for pregnant and postpartum individuals, particularly those experiencing depression. It aims to adapt a collaborative care model, which combines mental health and primary care, to better serve the unique needs of perinatal patients. The study will evaluate how effective this adapted model, called COMPASS+, is in reducing depression symptoms and suicidal thoughts among participants. Additionally, it will explore how well the model works for different racial and ethnic groups and assess how easily healthcare providers can implement these strategies.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be pregnant or have recently given birth and be at least 18 years old. Those who join can expect to receive integrated mental health support alongside their regular prenatal or postpartum care. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background, have access to the mental health support they need during this important time in their lives.
