ClinConnect Summary
The Heidelberg Registry for Hip and Knee Joint Implants and Revisions is a study designed to gather important information from patients who are having surgery to replace or fix their hip or knee joints due to conditions like osteoarthritis. The main goal is to learn more about how well these joint replacements work over time, any complications that might arise, and how they impact patients' daily lives. By collecting detailed information from patients treated at Heidelberg University Hospital, the researchers hope to improve surgical methods and patient care for everyone undergoing these procedures.
If you are an adult planning to have a new artificial hip or knee joint, or if you need surgery to fix an existing joint replacement, you may be eligible to participate. To join, you must be able to give your consent to participate in the study. The research team will follow up with you at various points after your surgery to gather information about your recovery and overall experience. Participating in this study could help enhance future treatments for joint replacement, ultimately benefiting many patients like you.
