ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different treatments for myofascial pain, which is a type of pain caused by tightness in the muscles. The researchers want to compare the effects of pulsed radiofrequency (PRF), a method that uses heat to relieve pain, with dry needling (DN), where thin needles are inserted into tight muscles to help them relax. The goal is to see how well these treatments work in helping patients feel better in the short term.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 70 years old and have been diagnosed with myofascial pain. You also need to be able to complete the treatment and follow-up visits and sign a consent form to join. However, if you have had surgery or an infection in the area where you feel pain, or if you have certain serious health conditions, you may not be eligible. The trial will not begin recruiting participants just yet, but if you qualify, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and be monitored for your progress.
