ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on studying different surgical techniques to help correct a condition called maxillary hypoplasia, which is common in patients with cleft lip and palate. Maxillary hypoplasia means that the upper jaw hasn't grown properly, often leading to a concave facial appearance and other dental issues. The goal of the trial is to evaluate how effective these techniques are in improving the facial structure and overall function, including speech.
To participate in this study, patients must have a cleft condition, such as a cleft alveolus (a gap in the gum) or a cleft palate, and should be ready for a surgical or orthodontic treatment plan. Participants will be carefully selected based on their health status and previous surgeries. Those who qualify will undergo an assessment and, if enrolled, can expect to receive treatment aimed at improving their jaw alignment and facial appearance, along with follow-up care. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into better treatment options for individuals with these challenges.
