ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to find out if practicing deep squats or sitting cross-legged can help adults with chronic low back and hip pain. The study will compare three groups: one will do deep squats, another will practice cross-legged sitting, and a third group will not do any special exercises (control group). The main goal is to see if these sitting positions can improve movement, reduce pain, and even help with digestion over a 6-week period of practicing for 20 minutes a day, six days a week.
To participate, you should be between 20 and 60 years old and have had lower back or hip pain for at least three months. You also need to experience bowel problems at least twice a month for the last three months. Unfortunately, if you have an acute health issue, are pregnant, or have had certain surgeries, you won't be eligible for this study. Participants will undergo tests at the start and end of the study to measure their mobility, pain levels, and overall quality of life. This is an exciting opportunity to explore how simple movements might make a difference in managing pain and improving daily life!
